Head of the Buenos Aires Government, Jorge Macri, today reaffirmed the role of the PRO party, highlighting measures in public order, modernization, and tax relief, and stated that the country is going through a 'pivotal moment' in which 'we are not going back anymore.' At a party event, Macri said: 'We have returned to the original ideas of PRO: team, closeness, and planning' and emphasized that the space 'was born to transform, not to watch reality from the stands.' The leader recalled the beginnings of the party and pointed out that with the arrival of Mauricio Macri to the Presidency, 'the foundations were laid for much of the good that is also happening today in Argentina,' as reported by the Argentine News Agency. In this context, he stated: 'We are at a pivotal moment for Argentina, this country is going to move forward.' In terms of security and public space, the head of government guaranteed that 'order is progress' and affirmed that in the city 'there are no more pickets or camps.' He also mentioned the training of more than 7,000 teachers in artificial intelligence and the promotion of a digital economy with initiatives such as BA Cripto. Regarding tax policy, he indicated that Gross Income Taxes were reduced for 150,000 non-professional workers, the return of balances to taxpayers was expedited, and the ABL and property tax were eliminated for more than 89,000 retirees and people with disabilities. In his closing remarks, Macri stated that 'PRO does not manage inertia: it has difficult discussions and transforms' and concluded: 'Without PRO, the city that today pushes the country forward and sets the course would not exist'.
